In February we participate in the CWS Blanket Sunday.
For over 60 years, CWS has worked in partnership with local communities to identify their needs and access the resources they need to build the foundation for a more viable future, including:
Operation Christmas Child
Pick up a shoebox at the church the beginning of November and fill with Select a quality “wow” toy such as a doll or stuffed animal. Then add other fun toys, hygiene items, and school supplies.
Return the shoeboxes by the date stated (normally mid November).
Their shoebox is the first gift many children have ever received! The treasures and personal letters inside communicate that someone cares for them and give them an opportunity to experience the love of God. Blesses children with joy, hope, and love.
As shoebox gifts are distributed, local pastors or church leaders present the Gospel in a fun way designed for kids while family and friends listen in. Along with their shoebox gift, children also receive The Greatest Gift, a colorful presentation of the Gospel in their own language.
The Giving Tree
The Giving Tree program is our LOCAL Christmas mission to children in the O'Fallon school district. Local families are contacted to see if they would like
to be included in this program. They give us clothing and toy suggestions to buy for each child. This anonymous information is given to individual
members of our church who volunteer to shop and wrap gifts.
Each year the number of LOCAL FAMILIES in need grows and Christmas is a particularly hard time for families who cannot afford gifts for their children. We ask you to sign up in November and return the gifts in December.
Feed My Lambs
A program that provides lunches to children during the summer months. The program normally starts at the end of May or beginning of June. Volunteers pack lunches on the designated days and then distribute them to children in need throughout the community.
